Update
It has now been 2 months since Thomas started childcare and as much as he seems to enjoy it, it has come with its downfalls. There has probably been two weeks out of the eight that he hasn't been sick and his nose has not stopped running since he started. Everyone keeps telling me it is good as it is building up his immune system, but enough already! He has had two bouts of ear infection and conjuctivitis and during this time his top two molars have come through so that has probably made him miserable as well.
There are some really great things about childcare as well though, last week I picked him up and he had been shifted up to the toddler room for the day as a trial. He went really well and even brought home his first drawing. He slept in a bed as well!
He is starting to be really cheeky now and totally understands what he is allowed to do and mostly does the stuff he is not allowed to do just to see our reaction. Unfortunately most of the time it is funny so it is hard to keep a straight face while growling at him.

Update
Well a big week with myself going back to work and Thomas starting Childcare. Last week Thomas went to Childcare for an orientation day which I left him there for an hour and when I came back he was in the arms of the girl and was sobbing. He had been crying for half an hour so needless to day I was questioning if I was doing the right thing.
A couple of days later we had two days straight where Tom would hardly sleep during the day, was really miserable and would not go to sleep until about 2am in the morning, screaming until eventually going to sleep but we would still have to get up a few times during the night to settle him. Turns out he had an ear infection, this was diagnosed the day before he was sue to start childcare. The Dr told us he would be right to go and put him on antibiotics. His ear is clearing up well and he thankfully is back to his usual sleeping patterns.
Tuesday came and it was time to go to childcare, Corey and myself took him and stayed with him for a little while before I had to make a quick exit as I started to get teary. I cried all the way to work, good start! I rang at 11am and they told me he was fine he had a little cry but was having a sleep at the time I rang. Corey went in at lunchtime to visit, to which Tom decided to show off and show Dad all around the place. When I went to pick him up that afternoon, I stood out of the room and looked in through the window and he was happily playing and when I went in he didn't even realise I was there. He eventually saw me and came over to me and gave me a cuddle then went off and played again. Needless to say it seems he has taken to it like a duck to water. He didn't have an afternoon sleep both days so has been so tired when we got him home, the second day he fell asleep after dinner in his couch.
Going back to work for me is like my weekend, I am definetely more busy at home!
