Holidays
Well Corey has had 2 weeks off work and we went on our first official holiday as a family. We drove up to Mildura for a couple of nights, Thomas travelled really well, must have known that it was the most boring drive ever! We stayed in Gol Gol just over the border in NSW in a cabin on the Murray River, right next to little Gold Coast, beautiful houses right on the river.
The weather was quite hot about 35 both days, but dropped down to a cool 16 overnight. We did the touristy thing and went on a cruise on the PS Melbourne paddlesteamer and went to Wentworth to see the old gaol. At Wentworth I found a huge Fergie sign made out of a hedge on a hill so had to have my photo taken, even though Corey said I am a Doyle now.
Thomas went for his first swim, which came as a bit of a suprise for him as the pool was not heated and was covered by a shade sail so was not as warm and comfy as the bath, but after a while he didn't seem to mind it, although he would not take his eyes off the water.
We left Mildura and headed for Hopetoun to stay at the farm for a night. Being the busiest time of year for them we got to see harvesting in action and got to go for a ride on the header, something not many 5 month olds have done I bet.
On the way home we suprised Nan and Pop Ferg and stayed for a night. After seeing almost half of Victoria we were happy to go home and get back into routine. Corey has almost finished painting the guttering and has made a start on the Christmas lights, it's going to be a big one this year!!
